Hey Everyone,
I got back to Kingston after Canadian Tour Q-School on April 5th.
As most of you know by now, I finished 15th at Q-School. Unfortunatley I missed getting my tour card by 3 shots.
I took a lot of positives away from the week. I finally got into a grove during the tournament both physically and mentally. The mental part of my golf game is very important at the level I now play at and it is good to know I found my comfort/ideal focus level.
Since being home, the weather in the Kingston area has not been great. I have only played three times and hit balls at the range twice. I have been hitting some balls indoors over at Accra Golf Shafts. I have been working on the game and doing everything I can to take my game to the next level. I had been hitting my driver, 3wood and my hybrid well over the winter but with some new Accra shafts my ball striking with those clubs has got even better.
It has been good though to have some time off from golf after working so hard for 3 months. For the next two weeks though I will be working extremely hard as the first tournament of the summer is fast approaching.
This summer I will be playing the Great Lakes Tour while also doing some State Open's in the Northeast of the USA and a couple Nationwide Tour Monday qualifiers. I am looking forward to the summer!
Before heading south for the winter I knew I had a lot of talent and could compete with any other professional. Of course with more experience, your confidence level will slowly increase. At this point right now there are no thoughts of second guessing my talents and ability.
While I will be playing a busy schedule of golf this summer, I will be working in the proshop again this summer. We have been working hard to get all of the new merchandise up on display and making sure everything is visually appealing. In my mind, the proshop has never looked better!
It was great to see some people at the Cocktail party a week ago!
I am sure I will see a lot more of you as the weather gets better.
And on a side note, I would like to remind all of the male members that Men's Opening Day has been changed to Saturday May 7th.
Take Care.
Ryan
