Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am sorry that I have seemed a bit distant as of late with my blog posts, which is not like me.
I have been busy with golf and a couple of off the course issues.

I will get back into my routine of posting 2 to 3 times a week!

Today is an off day for me as I have been working hard as of late to work out a couple of flaws. The weather is not great today so definitely a good day to spend indoors and watch some golf.

So since the first tournament I played of 2011, I have not been as happy with my game. It was tough to miss the cut in the first tournament by 1 shot but the Hooters Tour is the hardest mini tour around to make cuts. One shot, one putt or one error in judgement can be the difference between going to the ATM to cash a cheque or having to wait until the next week.

Even during the 2nd tournament in which I played I was able to take some positive things away from it. I have been hitting my driver better then I ever have. I missed 7 fairways for 36 holes which is really good! The problem with my game as of late is my iron game. I keep giving myself looks in the fairway but my tempo was off by just a bit and putting myself in some tough spots. Even with my short game I cannot get up and down every time with some of the pin placements.

I worked hard last weekend and it got better but was still not back to where I wanted it.

As for this week, I actually hit the ball alright. I shot 78, 74 and unfortunately missed the cut by 5 shots. The difference this week of being 75, 72 and making the cut was a combination of a couple things. I had some shots in which I was not 100% confident and also did not make enough putts. My putting stroke feels great and I did make my fair share of putts but I made a lot of par putts when I missed greens and did not make enough birdie putts. I hit it better in round 2 yesterday so hopefully can build off of that and work hard for the next 4 days.

The Hooters Carolina Winter Series ends its season next week at The Barefoot Golf Resort at the Davis Love course. I have heard good things about the course and can hopefully play a lot better and make the cut.

For the next 4 days I will be going up to Southport, NC to practice and play at St.James Plantation. When I was in school at IUP our team hosted a golf tournament here while we were on spring break. The general manager, John Brown, has been nice enough to allow me to use the facilities there. There are 81 holes of golf and 4 practice ranges so it is a great place to work on my game.

For the remainder of the day I am going to watch the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Should be some good golf! And the 16th hole is so exciting to watch.

Talk to everyone soon.

All my best,

Ryan
