Hello Again,
Over the last couple days being at the club I have noticed how busy the grounds crew has been working to get the course in great shape. Mike Smith and his staff have done a great job with the greens and in the coming weeks with some good weather and continued care, they will be able to be cut shorter and rolled. I look forward to this as do a lot of other members. I believe that the greens this summer could end up being the quickest we have seen in some time. Late last week they got there order of sand in and today were working to get the bunkers on 7 and 17 filled in. They still have a couple others to do on the course but look for them all to be done by the middle of next week I would think. The only other thing I noticed about the rough is it is starting to get thick. This just makes driving the golf ball that much more important so that you can score.
The whole golf course to me is in great shape! And it will only get better.
That is it for me today, I am kinda tired after celebrating the Chicago Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup tonight. So I am going to get to bed and look forward to playing/practicing hard tomorrow.
Until next time, take care.
Ryan
